PT Evaluation Matrix

Normal company physical training will occur on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 0600 to 0700 with optional additional physical training sessions being held on Mondays and Fridays from 0600 to 0700.

These sessions will be supervised by the company Tactical Officers. The focus will be on standards, formations, and proper execution of physical training. The PT Leader should ensure that all the Principles of Exercise are employed with a focus on ‘Variety’ in order to reduce boredom and increase motivation and progress. Cadets serving as PT leaders will receive LDP feedback of their performance in the form of Blue Card evaluations.

PT leaders will discuss their tentative plans with their Mentors 3 weeks prior to their scheduled PT session. Their plan should be based on the pt guidelines provided by the Company S3, and should be approved by the Company CO. PT leaders will brief their plan to their evaluator NLT 2 weeks prior to their PT session. PT leaders will prepare MOI’s for each day of training and have a physical copy with them when they brief their plan to SFC Hall NLT the Thursday before their week of PT. PT leaders will post their MOI’s, once receiving SFC Hall’s approval, NLT the Friday before their week of PT. The PT leader will complete a yellow card and hand it to their scheduled evaluator NLT 30 minutes after the conclusion of their last PT session. In the event that this is not possible, the PT leader will provide the yellow card to their evaluator NLT 72 hours after the conclusion of the last PT session. If the yellow card is regarded as insufficient, the evaluator will ask the PT leader for a new yellow card to be completed NLT 72 hours after the conclusion of the last PT session.

The evaluator will complete their evaluation card and counsel the PT leader NLT 72 hours after the end of the week (regardless of yellow card completion), and turn in their blue card on the day following the counseling.
